EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS

MDC operates PROJECT SWEEP, a supported employment program

for individuals with disabilities. In operation since 1990, PROJECT SWEEP

is one of New York City’s oldest supported employment programs.

Workers are gainfully employed in cleaning commercial streets while

receiving the supports they need from MDC’s JOB COACHES.

PROJECT SWEEP workers also clean offices and provide messenger

services for local businesses. They are also the clean up crew at

local street fairs.
