Out of School Time Programs

MDC has been providing Midwood students with after school activities since 1980, with funding from the New York City Department of Youth & Community Development, (DYCD).

In 2006, DYCD renamed and revamped its programs, from After-School to Out of School Time. MDC is proud to operate two OST contracts. These now operate at  PS 193, and PS 197. There is no fee for these programs.

MDC currently serves 100 families in P.S. 193 and P.S. 197 by providing a safe and nurturing environment fore three hours a day after the normal school day ends and for full days during 20 select school holidays.
